Introduction

Many photos from the communal house scene in the 1970's have been lost in the mists of time. However, some of the housemates from those times have passed on whatever they still have and I have created this collection of miscellaneous photos of some of the events and personalities from all those years ago.

This collection is not complete and there are many gaps. I am sad I don't have more photos of people who were part of the scene, as well as some of the 'big' events that do not have any photographic record to remind us about them. I wish I had more photos of some of the house parties, movie nights, bar nights, weekends away, braais and so forth that were the fabric of our lifestyle during those years.
